I was looking for a carpet square for a project I was building. I walked in the front door and was greeted warmly by several staff. As I made my request known, the gentleman helping me was not put off by my small request. He treated me as if I were buying carpeting for my whole house. I found a very soft and adequate price of carpeting that was perfect for my needs.

When I explained that this was a landing pad on a small staircase for a set of bunk beds that I was making for my grandkids, he smiled and handed me the carpet square, and said “Here.” I got the impression he was giving it to me, but just to be sure I asked if this was free, and he smiled again and said, “Of course! It’s for the kids!”

I’m not sure if this was the owner of the store a manager or just a great salesman, but I thanked him and left with a big smile on my face. It wasn’t that I couldn’t afford the sample, or that it was junk. It was a sell-able piece that was being given to me based on the need.

It’s great to know we still have people and businesses in Rockford that truly care about their customers. I highly recommend this store and its products. Their customer service is outstanding. Thank you Carpetland USA on Alpine. You guys are awesome.
